Why Antigua?
When dreaming of our wedding, we wanted a destination that felt like an experience—not just a backdrop. We chose Antigua, Guatemala for our wedding because it’s the perfect blend of charm, history, and vibrant culture.
The colorful town with cobblestone streets, lush gardens, majestic volcano views, and warm welcoming vibe make it feel wonderfully unique. It’s a place where time slows down just enough for you to take it all in, revealing beauty in every hidden corner, a destination cherished by those who wander off the well-worn path — just the kind of place we’re drawn to when we travel.
We fell in love with our wedding venue Convento Santa Clara the moment we saw photos of it. It was originally a convent for nuns in 1700s and known for its stunning Baroque architecture and beautifully preserved ruins, which reflect the convent’s rich history and the vibrant cultural heritage of the city.
Antigua feels like a place where we can celebrate in a way that feels like “us.” We can’t wait share this unforgettable experience with all of you in a place that’s just as beautiful as it is authentic.
